Ask HN: Can qubits be written to crystals as diffraction patterns?

Coherence time is the operative limit to SOTA QC Quantum Computing. Holographic data storage already solves for binary digital data storage. Aren't diffraction patterns due to lattice irregularities effective wave functions? Presumably holography would have already solved for quantum data storage if diffraction is a sufficient analog if a wave function?
